Eagles

  1. Hello! As you know how I was asked to take home Eagle bear this week and we have had lots of fun. On Thursday 1st September, I was honoured to be awarded star of the week. Straight after school, my uncle Chris and little cousin William picked up me, my brother Cameron, and Mummy and Daddy up to go to his house in Dubai on a mini adventure. He lives in a big villa with a swimming pool. Me and Eagle bear ran around his giant front room and passed him between me, Cameron and my little cousin William, who is 3 years old. We were very careful not to drop him on the cold hard floor. After all the excitement was over, we had a comfortable sleep in a double bed with my mum because I did not fancy sharing with my brother or dad.

Early the next morning, I woke up late at about 9:00am when Eagle Bear was already up and ready for the day. When my cousin heard our voices, he wondered into our room where we rolled from mine and my mum's double bed onto my brother's and my dad's airbed down on the floor. Eagle bear was the quickest and we all rolled off after him, just managing not to squash him! My Uncle, Auntie and William had to go to an expensive brunch they had booked with some friends of my Uncle's so we went in the pool all morning. It was only about 10 metres across but it was about 1.9 metres deep! Eagle bear sunbathed while I swam but I kept on checking on him, making sure he wasn't burning.

After that, everyone was starving so we walked to the mall that was across the road (literally). It was about 45 degrees so I found it really tiring for some reason. We searched the mall and finally we found the food court. I had a Subway sandwich with eagle bear and Cameron had a Pizza. Then we spotted an ice cream shop which made mine and Eagle Bear's mouths water. We begged my parents to go in there because I knew secretly that they really liked the look of the ice cream in the shop. In the end we bought a giant sharing platter of ice cream that we didn't finish.

We swam in the pool some more when we got home and had a party with the people my uncle had eaten with at his brunch. We got showered after and then we finally fell into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up early the next morning and woke Eagle bear up too. William came into my room and woke everyone up from their half awake, half asleep phase. Telling Eagle Bear what we were doing today, I was really excited. The sad part was that we were going back to my Apartment building owned by Aldar but the good news was that we were going on a short tour to see the Burj Khaleefa and the little opera house next to it. Our small little adventure was cool and the Burj Khaleefa was breathtaking. On our way back home in the car, I read to Eagle Bear part of the book that I was reading. What a pleasure it was to take Eagle Bear home for the week!
